Following the advice of a friend, he enrolled in the Field Technician in Other Home Appliances (FTOHA) program at HCLF Yuvakendra Chennai. Arun's family includes four members, with his father working as an electrician and his mother doing housekeeping work. Due to their financial instability, Arun's parents struggled to provide education for both their sons. To further his skills, Arun also enrolled in Grey Sim Learnings Foundation's entrepreneurship development program, where he learned how to start his own service center and overcome business challenges. After completing the program, he opened an authorized service center for multiple brands. Arun passed his final assessment and landed a job at Blue Star service center with a salary of 8000/- per month. His parents are proud of his progress and success. Grey Sim Learnings Foundation is a vocational skills company that provides relevant counseling, skills, and support systems to help young people achieve sustainable livelihoods. The company trains approximately 20,000 people each year at its 30 training centers across India, focusing on electronics, telecom, renewable energy, and new age skills. Aravindhan Ayyanar is a resident of a rural region of Chennai who completed his 12th standard. He discontinued his studies for his family's welfare and searched for career opportunities. He worked as an assistant bike mechanic before enrolling in a field technician and home appliances course. Despite gaining some knowledge in repair work, his wages were not enough to support his family. He enrolled in an ITI course but could not complete it due to financial constraints. He then heard about the Grey Sim Learnings Foundation and enrolled in their free certificate course. The course not only gave him practical experience in operating appliances, but also taught him personality development, interview skills, and time management. Aravindhan passed his final assessment and was hired by Whirlpool with a salary of 8000 rupees per month. Grey Sim Learnings Foundation trains 20,000 people each year and is dedicated to reimagining vocational training for underserved communities. Aravindhan feels that this is just the start of his journey towards fulfilling his dreams and providing a sustainable future for his family. “I couldn’t believe initially a 90-day course can give a good opportunity to enhance my life. After discontinued from 12th I don’t have any idea to move forward and don’t know what to do next. By learning technical course, I enriched my knowledge, and I can proudly say I am a field technician now. That identity was created by grey sim learnings foundation.

Sanjay is a resident of the rural region of Navalur who completed his 10th standard education. After the passing of his parents, he was left alone to live with his father's younger brother.

Sanjay is a resident of the rural region of Navalur who completed his 10th standard education. After the passing of his parents, he was left alone to live with his father's younger brother. Despite having a sister and brother, he was abandoned by them. He struggled with loneliness and was unable to start a conversation with others due to his dark past.
Based on a friend's advice, Sanjay enrolled in HCLF Yuvakendra Chennai for training as a Service Technician in Home Appliances, such as ACs, fridges, washing machines, ovens, and RO systems, along with soft skills. The Grey Sim Learnings Foundation offered Sanjay the opportunity to participate in their entrepreneurship development program, where he learned how to start his own service center and overcome the challenges of running a business. As a result, Sanjay was able to open an authorized service center for multiple brands.
After completing his training, Sanjay gave his final assessment and was interviewed by Haier. He was selected and is now working as a Technician Engineer, earning a salary of 10,000/- per month. Sanjay's late parents would be proud of his progress and success.

Everyone here helped me come out of my shell, and I am very grateful to the Grey Sim Learnings Foundation and HCLF for providing this course. I now work with a good salary and am an independent person who is doing well."
